About the Victorian Microelectronics Designers Network

The Victorian Microelectronics Designers' Network is a free, membership-based industry networking organisation focused on supporting and developing the microelectronics industry in the State of Victoria, Australia by providing access to a range of networking activities and services.

Vision
|
Creating the environment for a dynamic, innovative, growing and enterprising microelectronics industry in Victoria, enabled and supported by means of the Victorian Microelectronic Designers' Network connecting people with skills, ideas and resources to create new opportunities for the State.
|
Objectives
|
The objectives of the Victorian Microelectronics Designers' Network are to:
|
- help the industry in Victoria grow and prosper
|
- assist the state government to more efficiently and effectively develop and implement Industry policy through improved access to the relevant communities
|
- provide a medium for communication between and amongst government, industry, suppliers and customers in order to encourage enterprise and innovation.
|
- enhance the competitiveness of the Victorian industry by providing a forum through which to enhance learning opportunities and by facilitating the efficient deployment of resources through improved communication
|
- assist in attracting skilled people and investment to Victoria, through the provision up to date and relevant information and links to opportunities
|
- provide a mechanism to interface with other networks of interest in Australia and overseas in order to access the opportunities that they provide
|
- provide a forum that encourages collaboration in order to enable industry to achieve scale necessary to compete in world markets.
