Collaborative Internet Innovation Fund (cIIF)



cIIF ('see-if') is a new $15 million competitive grants program to accelerate the innovative use of the next generation of ICT by Victorian government, business and community.

About cIIF Round 1


The first round of the program provides project-based funding to support early adopters of new technologies to undertake collaborative projects that develop new ways of working and solving problems.

cIIF Round 1 followed this project development cycle:


  • Idea - Application Stage 1 (Expression of Interest)
  • Plan - Application Stage 2 (Business Plan)
  • Fund - Contract the project
  • Do - Implement the project
  • Share - Communicate the project

cIIF Round 1 is now in Fund phase


22 applicants have been offered a grant to implement their projects. Announcement of the successful projects is expected to occur in 2010.

cIIF Round 2


A second funding round will focus on the development of innovative applications projects for the high capacity broadband environment and is due to run in 2010. Further details will be available in mid 2010. If you wish to receive information on Round 2, please email thecIIF Team.

Outcome of cIIF Round 1

22 Round 1 applicants have been offered a cIIF grant. Projects proposed solutions to problems in areas such as the environment, health, education, food technology and resource management.
Announcements of successful projects will be made in 2010.
