The fourth phase of cIIF involves implementing the project.

After the grants contract has been signed, applicants will be responsible for implementing the project according to the Business Plan.

Typically it is anticipated that projects funded under the program will take 1 – 2 years to be implemented and evaluated.

Regular progress and activity reports (as outlined by the grants contract) will be required for each project. These will include:


  • Quarterly activity reports
  • Annual progress report/presentation
  • Audit of project financial expenditure
  • Final evaluation report

More details about reporting and other implementation requirements will be provided to successful applicants.

Broadband Project Officers (BPOs)
BPOs are available to provide limited advice and assistance to cIIF Applicants developing projects involving:
- Regional local government
- Regional industry
- Not-for-profit sector.

cIIF is a new initiative under the Victorian Government's Innovation Statement, Innovation: Victoria's Future which provides $300 million in new funding for innovation-related initiatives.
