ICT Trade Events and Export Assistance Program Financial Grant Application Form

Welcome to Multimedia Victoria's online application form for financial (grant) assistance from the ICT Trade Events and Exports Assistance Program. All company information provided is treated as commercial in confidence.

To apply for financial assistance


1.
Complete & submit online application form
(at least TWO WEEKS PRIOR to trade event)

You must complete the entire application and ALL required fields. You will be unable to submit the form if any of the application is incomplete. If the applicant is a company, the application must be completed by an officer of a company.

Upon completion of the application click the SUBMIT button - a message will display if your application has been successfully submitted.

2.
Send supporting documentation to Multimedia Victoria
Once your application has been submitted electronically you must send us the following documentation

Statutory Declaration verifying the validity of your application and the information it contains. This Statutory Declaration can be faxed or posted to Multimedia Victoria.
Download a copy of the Statutory Declaration

A copy of your Certificate of Registration of a Company or Business Name

NEW CATEGORIES OF FUNDING after 1 October 2005
Type of Grant

Grant Amount (excl. GST)
Networker
A networker is a person, representing an eligible ICT company attending an international ICT expo, or MMV led business mission. This grant is a contribution towards airfares, accommodation and costs of trade fair entry.
Recovery of expenses up to
$2,500 max

Exhibitor in a shared stand
An eligible company that has the opportunity to share an exhibition stand with a multinational company, an industry association, an educational institution or an Australian government agency.
50% recovery of expenses up to
$4,000 max

Sole Exhibitor
A sole exhibitor is an eligible ICT company exhibiting at an international expo in a non-shared stand. The grant is a contribution towards the cost of the company attending the event. It includes airfares, accommodation, stand and promotional costs.
50% recovery of expenses up to
$8,000 (Approved Export Plan required)

Group Exhibitor
A group exhibitor is the representative entity of a cluster of ICT companies attending an international expo. The grant is a contribution towards the cost of the company attending the event. It includes airfares, accommodation, stand and promotional costs.
50% recovery of expenses up to
$10,000 (Approved Project Plan required)

First-Time Sole Exhibitor
A first-time exhibitor is an eligible ICT company that has never before accessed the program and provides an additional incentive to exhibit and assistance to develop promotional materials. The grant is a contribution towards airfares, accommodation, exhibition stand costs and the cost of promotional materials. This grant can only be accessed once.
50% recovery of expenses up to
$10,000 (Approved Export Plan required)


Export Plan/Project Plan requirements Export Plan

For Sole Exhibitor grants and First Time Sole Exhibitor Grants an Approved Export Plan is required to be submitted. An approved export plan may include:

a.
A Department of Innovation Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD)'s Grow Your Business Program - Business/Export Development Plan delivered by Victorian Business Centres;
b.
An export plan prepared by an industry association, government body or private sector provider such as VECCI, AiGroup or the City of Melbourne; and or
c.
An export plan prepared by the company itself.


Project Plan
Applications for a Group Exhibitor Grant must include an Approved Project Plan. Please contact Multimedia Victoria on the number below for Project Plan requirements.

APPLICATION FORM

1. Agreement
The Department of Innovation, Industry & Regional Development will not be held responsible for the endeavours of the Applicant. *
The Applicant accepts full responsibility for all of the outcomes as a result of the Trade Event attended. *
It is the Applicant's responsibility to keep a record and copy of all documentation provided for this application. *
Multimedia Victoria has the right to request further information from this application at any time. *
The Applicant acknowledges that the full application, Statutory Declaration and Certificate of Registration must be submitted to Multimedia Victoria at least two weeks prior to the commencement of the Trade Event. The applicant acknowledges that the application will not be accepted after the event. *
The grant (if the application is approved), will be forwarded to the Applicant AFTER THE EVENT and only after all the relevant post-event paperwork has been submitted to the satisfaction of Multimedia Victoria. *
Multimedia Victoria reserves the right to recover all or part of the funds if the Applicant fails to adhere to application guidelines. *

2. Eligibility
The following criteria are essential eligibility criteria. All criteria must be answered 'Yes' in order to proceed with the application process.
Our organisation is based and headquartered in Victoria. *
Producing products and services in Victoria, that have an Australian content of at least 50% of the total sales value and will be exported from Victoria. *
Our organisation is not a subsidiary of a foreign company. *
We are a commercial Victorian organisation that employs fewer than 200 people (ie. Not a State, local or Commonwealth Department). *
Our organisation is working primarily in the ICT sector, including telecommunications; interactive applications; creative content and specialist manufacturing. *
