| Victoria's ICT industry continues to deliver opportunities in the face of uncertainties in the global economy, states a new report released on the 27 February 2009. Speaking at an annual AIIA Business Briefing, the Minister for ICT, John Lenders, released the Progress Report which tracks the performance of the ICT Industry Plan 2005-2010 targets and program and initiatives supporting the ICT industry. The Report showed that while the sector has been influenced by the downturn in the economy, the industry is still exhibiting steady growth. The ICT industry remains vital to the state's economic performance in building a globally competitive and internationally focused economy. |
