ICT Linkages Funding Stream 2

ICT Linkages Funding Stream 2

The purpose of Stream 2 of the ICT Linkages Program is to give targeted assistance to develop and implement strategies to assist existing collaborative organisations to move to the next stage of development. Up to $20,000 will be provided for each activity undertaken by a collaborative organisation up to a maximum of $80,000 over a maximum of two years. Successful applicants will be required to match this funding on a dollar-for-dollar basis with financial contributions from members.

Possible Activities

Funding may be used for activities including, but not limited to:
  • undertaking a member capability audit and identifying strategies to fill capability gaps with a particular focus on strengthening link with the education sector and research institutions;
  • undertaking a skills audit and identifying initiatives to develop skills (with an emphasis on establishing linkages with the education sector); and/or
  • developing an research and development strategy including the identification of joint research projects, current research capabilities, potential linkages with public and private research institutions, possible sources of funding and the development of business cases.

Funding Exclusions

Funding may not be used to:
  • provide secretariat and administration support;
  • engage or pay permanent employees;
  • pay any retrospective costs; or
  • fund ongoing maintenance or operational costs.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for funding under Stream 2 of the ICT Linkages Program organisations must:
  • have met all requirements under the Next Wave grant agreement;
  • consist of at least ten participating members, the majority of which must be Victorian-based organisations;
  • not currently be receiving government funding (Commonwealth or State) for the same activity; and
  • not already be receiving funding under the ICT Linkages Program for the same activity.

Assessment Criteria

Applications will be assessed against the following criteria:
  • Cluster objectives and outcomes
  • Strategic importance to the Victorian ICT industry and economy
  • Capacity for further development
  • Level of innovation
