Last night ICT student Joseph Lang won the Encouragement Award for the Best Student in Certificate IV (Business IT Department) at the Chisholm Institute’s Advanced Business Services Outstanding Students Awards.

The event celebrates outstanding students and their academic achievements during 2008 and presents a fantastic opportunity for ICT employers to sample local ICT talent first-hand.

Victoria continues to lead the country in technology, with more than a third of the nation's ICT employment based in this state.

The state also produces Australia's highest number of ICT, computing and engineering graduates every year, representing more than 34 per cent of Australia’s ICT graduates.

Victoria's ICT industry generates $26.2 billion in annual revenue, exports over $2.4 billion and employs more than 84,000 people.
