Reactive picks up 3 major contracts in Australia
Reactive, a digital developer with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, and London, has picked up a number of recent contracts in Australia. The deals include development of the DonateLife website for the Federal Government's Australian Organ and Tissue Donation Authority, the MoneyHelp site for the Victorian Government and the Breedersales site for animal breeders and primary producers.

NetApp and Microsoft fight fires
Microsoft and NetApp have joined forces to implement a virtualised data storage system that will enable a single, multi-agency portal for Victoria's bushfire information.
The solution, which is being developed for the Department of Sustainability and Environment, will allow the state's Integrated Emergency Control Centre and incident control centres around the state to post mission-critical information to the portal in real time.

Project management firm Thinc Projects selects Aconex for global portfolio
International project management firm Thinc Projects has selected to use the Aconex online collaboration system across its entire project portfolio. Using Aconex, a web-based system for managing project information such as documents and correspondence, will enable the company to control the large volumes of information generated on its projects and to communicate more efficiently with its project partners. Thinc Projects has used Aconex on more than 180 projects worldwide since 2001.

Local technology provides evidence for bushfire commission
EYEfi installed four monitoring cameras on fire towers before Black Saturday, which has provided valuable evidence of the fire’s behaviour and progress for the Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission. The imagery and data generated from the remotely controlled cameras combined video and spatial properties with smart wireless technology in the field.

Victorian ICT company RMS wins workforce accommodation project in Abu Dhabi
Victorian ICT company RMS has secured the contract for the provision of business information systems for the Labotel Project in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. When complete, Labotel will accommodate and feed over 20,000 workers. In addition to clean, comfortable and climate controlled accommodation, workers will have access to additional services such as grocery shops, saloons, clinic, internet, laundry and telephone booths.
