FirePro Aussie office seals major deal

News - 25 March 2009

FirePro Australia has sealed a deal with one of Australia’s largest companies, creating an additional six jobs for the company in Melbourne.

Starting as a team of just two, the Australian office has grown to 25 full-time employees in less than three years, with up to 20 additional service partners working at any given time.

The leading Indian fire protection and security systems company opened its first international office in Melbourne in March 2006.

“The Melbourne office was chosen for a number of reasons – in particular as a great multicultural base to enter the Asia Pacific market,” said John Carrier, FirePro Australia Director.

“It all comes down to the strengths and capabilities we can offer here in Victoria – experienced project management, front end presentation, on site experience and higher levels of skills implementation. These are some of the advantages we can offer over our international competitors,” said Mr Carrier.

The company projects cross a broad spectrum of sectors including construction, gaming, education, government and aviation.

"The Victorian Government is regarded as the premier Australian state for business investment and development, and we are grateful for the support we received in helping us set up our Asia Pacific headquarters in Melbourne,” said Mr Carrier.

“We look forward to working closely with the Victorian Government in the future as our business opportunities expand and develop.”
