| Victoria’s Revolution IT was named as the 2009 VIC Telstra Business Awards Winner (Panasonic Australia Medium Business Award) on Friday 31 July. Considered Australia’s largest, most prestigious small business awards program, the Telstra Business Awards recognises Australia’s business-building entrepreneurs. Company director Hamish Leighton said “winning such a prominent award amongst extremely tough competition is an honourable and humbling achievement. It is a great opportunity to reflect on our achievements as a business, what drives our success and how we can continue to provide the best quality results to our clients”. Revolution IT was the only information technology finalist contending for the award amongst a range of entrants from a variety of industries. The niche IT company formed five years ago, by three directors and friends who saw a gap in the Australian software testing market. Starting out with a small spare bedroom as an office, Revolution IT has since grown to be Australia’s leading software testing and application quality management solutions provider employing around 200 staff. Revolution IT will now go through to the national Telstra Business Awards, with the national winner to be announced in Sydney on 20 August 2009.
