| Victorian company Space-Time Research (STR) has won a part in the US Census. STR’s SuperSTAR software has been delivered to Lockheed Martin for use in the Decennial Response Integration System (DRIS), the data collection system for the U.S. 2010 Census. More than 300 million Americans will be surveyed in this project and DRIS will ensure that the data collection is accurate, efficient and secure. STR’s SuperSTAR software will help manage and protect the huge volumes of data and provide data visualisation for post-Census analysis. “Space-Time Research’s SuperSTAR out-of-the-box technology will ensure data quality throughout the census data collection process, and will provide the performance and functionality to process and analyse large volumes of complex data while easily spotting anomalies,” said Kerry Araujo, Global Vice President for Space-Time Research. “We are proud to be part of the DRIS team.” Lockheed Martin’s real-time data capture accuracy methods will be complemented by SuperSTAR’s SuperCROSS application, which enables users source data from various data sources, channel information into a high-speed database and protect the data. The ColourVIEW feature will allow Lockheed Martin to quickly spot data irregularities, and then make timely corrections and improvements to related processes. |
