| Monday, 12 October 2009 |
| A team of specialised Victorian ICT companies are flying to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Macau and China this week to further enhance current export and trade opportunities with their East Asian counterparts. The Victorian Technical East Asia Mission (the so-called V-TEAM) is composed of six different Victorian ICT company representatives, who will participate at several technical exhibitions and meetings to showcase Victorian talent and to strengthen the Victorian Government’s relationships and cooperation with the region. The mission will give exposure to our local ICT companies, enabling them to identify linkages and opportunities to forge partnerships and network for future export possibilities. The focus of the mission will be around ‘smart living’ sensor information gathering and the knowledge management of sensor driven systems. Under the ‘smart living’ focus, the participating Victorian companies will be able to showcase their innovative knowledge of the ‘sensor’ driven knowledge environment with Korean and Taiwanese organisations. The participants will meet with companies and organisations including Huawei, Sumotomo, Quatius, Cisco, MorLab, Intel, HKSTP, Cyberport, LSCM and HKPC. Victorian ICT companies participating in the mission include: Wirelessworx Enex Testlabs Quick Knowledge Detekt, Senko La Trobe University Omniconnect |
