Victorian innovation companies on show at the GITEX Technology Week in Dubai |

| Eight leading Victorian ICT companies will be at one of the world’s largest and longest running ICT trade shows next week in Dubai. A mix of established and new-to-market Victorian companies will take their innovations to pursue opportunities in the Middle East, one of the world’s fastest growing ICT markets. GITEX Technology Week provides an excellent opportunity for Victorian companies to build partnerships and seek new export opportunities throughout the Middle East. The Victorian ICT industry offers distinctly world class goods and services, which means there is a huge potential for our companies to export their products globally. Local company SMSGlobal, Australia's leading internet SMS communication platform provider, is exhibiting at Gitex for the first time. Its aim is to generate new business opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. It currently supplies solutions in Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Jordan, Turkey, Egypt, UAE, Qatar and Bahrain. eBlueprint will have its second foray at GITEX. A leading edge IT provider of Portal, Middleware and Collaborative workplace solutions, it is seeking to further expand its business in the region. The Victorian Government provides assistance to Victorian ICT companies to attend overseas trade shows through its Trade Events and Export Assistance Program. In 2008-09, over 220 grants have been approved generating over A$163 million in projected exports.
