| Victorian secondary students will hear all about the extensive and rewarding study and career opportunities available in ICT at a series of interactive sessions over the next month. Upload Your Future events are travelling across metropolitan and regional Victoria as part of a targeted information campaign to encourage young people to join the growing and innovative field of ICT. Each of the five sessions will provide high school students with the opportunity to hear recent graduates, employers and industry professionals explain just how far study and a career in ICT can take them. Skills in ICT open up a wide range of professional pathways for students, providing them with access to almost any industry; from fashion to finance, film and pharmaceuticals. The first Upload Your Future event kicks off tomorrow, 22 July, at La Trobe University’s Bundoora campus. Sessions in Caulfield, Wodonga, Benalla and Mornington will also be held over the next month. These events are all part of the Victorian Government’s collaborative ICT: Start Here. Go Anywhere campaign that promotes ICT skills and career paths for young people. |
| ICT: Start Here. Go Anywhere is a key element of the Victorian Government’s $1.85 million comprehensive ICT skills package, geared at boosting the number of skilled ICT professionals in Victoria. |
