Fibre to the home workshop
|
In October 2005 the Victorian Government held a workshop for local governments across Victoria to talk about the issue of fibre to the home (FTTH). It was attended by over 60 representatives from local, state and federal government as well as other interested groups.
FTTH offers enormous potential benefits for Victoria. However, taking the step from copper to fibre is a challenge that needs the involvement of all tiers of Government - federal, state and local. It also needs the support of the telecommunications industry and developers.
