The Victorian Government's eSecurity cluster, SECIA - eSecurity Innovation and Awareness, is poised to capitalise on the rapidly increasing demand for high-quality eSecurity products and services.

The organizations that make up SECIA represent a broad spectrum from universities, through specialised recruiting companies and consultants, to developers and users of specific hardware and software security products.

SECIA recognises that a coordinated approach is the optimal path for being at the forefront of eSecurity technology.

SECIA will give its members the means to collaborate on research and development and draw on respective areas of expertise to improve eSecurity measures.

In partnership with Victorian Government SECIA will also assist the Victoria’s tertiary institutes to develop a leading edge set of curricula around eSecurity to help ensure that ICT graduates have the requisite skills to support Victoria’s ICT sector.

The industry cluster SECIA - eSecurity Innovation and Awareness – was launched by the Victorian Minister for ICT on Thursday 28 September 2006.
